Just yesterday I met a man who had been hit in the head when he was 7 and knocked unconscious for 4 hours. He never fully recovered and eventually became a resident in facilities that cater to special needs.
As we were singing the Louie Armstrong song, What a Wonderful World, he began impersonating Louie with an amazing display of talent. He then impersonated many singers impromptu, soprano to bass. He is a talented artist and his paintings are coveted. His father was a highly esteemed calligrapher, the only one who did free-style calligraphy for what is still the largest East Coast newspaper. One of his uncles was a national champion pro-baseball player, and another was a champion handicap jockey. It is both thrilling and humbling to find such treasures where you least expect them.
